Explosive Fossil is a rock trinket added in The Reheated Update.
Effects
- 13% chance for a
Bomb to drop upon clearing a room. - Each
Rock has a 20% chance to be replaced with a 
Bomb Rock. - Crush Effect: Activates the
Mama Mega! effect for the next 3 uncleared rooms entered, destroying all obstacles in the room, dealing 200 damage to all enemies and opening the door to Boss Rush or 
??? even after their time limit expires.
Interactions
Trinket Multipliers: Affects the chance for rocks to become Bomb Rocks, and the chance for a Bomb to spawn on room clear. Does not affect the number times the Mama Mega! effect activates when Explosive Fossil is crushed.
- The chance for a bomb to drop on room clear is equal to
8 + 5 × Trinket Multiplier%. - The chance for a rock to become a Bomb Rock is equal to
10 + 10 × Trinket Multiplier%.
- The chance for a bomb to drop on room clear is equal to
Azurite Spindown: Using Azurite Spindown on Explosive Fossil rerolls it into 
Death Cap Fossil.
